It is with great joy that we present this Easter greeting by Sr. Mary Barron, President of the UISG. Her words invite us to embrace the light and hope of the Resurrection, renewing our commitment to serve and spread peace in a world that needs it so much. May her reflection inspire us all to live with courage, love, and unwavering faith this Easter season and beyond.

“On behalf of UISG board members and all the staff here, I would like to wish you all, our members, our collaborators, our friends, our extended family, a very happy Easter. This feast of Easter reminds us of the triumph of light over darkness. The risen Christ comes to us, filling our hearts with love, peace and joy. A we celebrate this feast, we remember that as consecrated men and women, we are invited to witness to that faith that we have in the Resurrection amidst the struggles of our world of this day.

We know that the Easter joy has a transformative power. It transforms our darkness into light, our despair into hope. And so, as we journey together towards this feast, as we live the fruits of this risen Christ, we are called to continue to be witnesses in our world. So let this Easter time be a time of renewed strength for our mission. May we courageously embrace the challenges that face us, trusting in God’s love, trusting in the Spirit of God to guide us, to be with us always.

And together, as a global sisterhood, may we continue to sow the seeds of joy, peace and love in the world around us. Happy Easter to one and all.”
