Roundtable Event

Catholic Social Teaching, particularly the teachings of Pope Francis in Evangelii Gaudium, Laudato SI’ and Fratelli Tutti, calls us to have the audacity to look critically at our global financial system and the economy it powers through the eyes of those most affected. We are living in times in which our dominant economic thinking has turned humans and nature into  commodifiable assets, prioritizing unfettered growth at unsustainable levels. How are we to respond to the ‘cry of the earth and the cry of the poor’?
