War and Peace: Conflict and Culture in the Modern World
4th edition of Ateneo Pontificio Regina Apostolorum Symposium
The main inspiration is the theme of war and conflict, but most importantly how to seek peaceful and prosperous resolutions while rebuilding an authentic Christian culture.
Discussion will range from the topics of war in Ukraine (Kiev’s Auxiliary Bishop Sus) to ongoing critical battles in culture (Acton’s Fr. Robert Sirico), spirituality (Archbishop Stankevics of Riga), the mass media (Acton’s Michael Miller), global economics (Carlo Lottieri), geopolitics (John O’Sullivan), religious-political history (Acton’s John Pinheiro), NATO perspectives (Andrea Gilli), while beginning with a theological-philosophical overview (Fr. Eamonn O’Higgins) and ending with a “how to” effective tactics lecture (Philip Booth).
The Symposium includes both lectures and debates during two afternoons and one full day.
