UISG will host a six-day online workshop on INTERCULTURAL AWARENESS AND COMPETENCE specifically designed for sisters in Africa.

This workshop, generously supported by the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, aims to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to foster a culture of intercultural understanding and collaboration within their communities.

Workshop Details:
•    Dates: November 4 – 9, 2024
•    Time: 8:00 AM - 11:30 AM (Rome Time, CET)
•    Languages: English, Portuguese, and French

Workshop Goal:
The primary goal is to create a network of sisters who can share their expertise on intercultural competence within their respective congregations and regions. By the end of the workshop, each participating team will develop a plan to implement tailored intercultural training programs for their specific needs.

Who can participate?
UISG encourages Religious Congregations in Africa to nominate a team of 4-6 sisters who meet the following criteria:

- The sisters should be finally professed

- Team composition:

• At least one member of the Leadership Congregational Province team (or General team for Diocesan congregations)
• At least one member with experience in formation ministry
• At least two sisters under 40 years old (experience working in diverse cultural contexts is a plus)

- Experience working in diverse cultural contexts (desirable)

- Proficiency in English, French, or Portuguese

- Strong communication and teamwork skills

- Commitment to offering this training to others within your conference of religious or congregation (leaders, formators, etc.)

- Reliable internet connection for workshop participation.
