It's with great joy and anticipation that we welcome you to the 23rd plenary assembly of UISG which will take place in May 2025. It is in the year that we will also celebrate the 60th anniversary of the foundation of UISG. 

As we gather for this significant event, it is taking place during the Church's Jubilee year, and we will come together as pilgrims of Hope united in our common commitment “Consecrated life: A hope that transforms" - the theme of our assembly resonates deeply. "Consecrated life: a hope that transforms."

In a world yearning for renewal, we as women religious are called to be the very embodiment of this transformative hope. How can we embrace this calling?

Firstly, through our prophetic witness. Our lives are a prophetic sign, challenging the status quo and pointing towards a more just and compassionate world. Let us continue to be bold witnesses, advocating for peace, for justice, and for the dignity of each person.

Through our radical love. Our love is radical, rooted in Christ and overflowing to all. As women religious, we are called to love without borders, embracing the marginalized, the forgotten, and the wounded. Our love has the power to transform hearts and to heal the wounded.

Through courageous innovation. In a rapidly changing world, we must courageously innovate. We need to discern new ways to serve, to educate, and to accompany those entrusted to our care. Our creativity can breathe life into tired structures and bring hope to the weary.

Through communities of joy. Our communities are spaces of joy, laughter, and mutual support. Amid challenges, we find strength in our shared mission. Let us radiate joy, inviting others to encounter that hope that transforms.

And lastly, through our contemplative hearts. Our contemplative hearts anchor us in God's presence. Through prayer, silence, and deep listening, we discern the Spirit's movements. Let us continue to be contemplatives in action, allowing God's love to transform us and flow through us.

As we prepare for this Assembly, let our hearts be open to the Holy Spirit's guidance. May our gathering be a source of renewal, dialogue, and mutual encouragement. Together, we can be the hope that transforms our world, one act of love, one courageous and bold step at a time. Let us journey together as women religious, embracing this hope that transforms.
