"Laudato Si'" Journalism Course
The Dicastery for Communication is launching a new project for young communicators: the "Laudato si'" Journalism Course.
The aim of the course is to create and enhance in young people the willingness to collect and tell the positive experiences in progress, promoting the creation of local productions that they can share with the aim of staying in touch with the editorial staff in Rome.
The young communicators will go through a unique training experience from February to
March 2023, gaining both content and communication expertise in sharing Laudato si’ stories. They will be offered lectures and individual coaching. At the end of the course one or more of the best editorial products will be published on Vatican News and its authors will be given the opportunity of an internship at Vatican Radio – Vatican News.
Activities/commitment required:
- the course will take place online in February and March 2023, on Mondays and Thursdays at 3 PM (Rome time);
- the course will consist of three modules, each one of 8 two-hour online lessons for a total of 48 hours;
- classes will be delivered online in English and Spanish (or Italian – depending on the candidates).
Selection criteria:
- maximum 35 years of age
- advanced knowledge of English, Spanish or Italian
- knowledge of / experience in at least one of the following professional areas: copywriting, sound/video making, graphic design and social media management

Selection process
The Dicastery for Communication will examine all the CV/Applications submitted as of the expiration date indicated above, on the basis of the selection criteria.
Selected candidates will receive all the information by e-mail by January 31st, 2023.
The first meeting will be on February 6th at 3 PM (Rome time).
