STUDIUM provides an opportunity for sisters to engage in formation on the Magisterium and the Canonical Norms of Religious Life studies either in person or online. The Programme is offered in Italian, English and Spanish. It is a two year diploma programme.

From the letter of invitation:

We are pleased to inform you that, following an agreement with the Pontifical Urbaniana University, the interdisciplinary School for Formation in the Magisterium and canonical norms of Consecrated Life in the Church, known as the Studium, which has been present in this Dicastery since 1951, is now included in the Faculty of Canon Law of the Pontifical Urbaniana University.
 

In this way, by virtue of Article 52 of the Apostolic Constitution Veritatis gaudium, the University having obtained the nulla osta from the Dicastery of Culture and Education, may therefore issue a Diploma in the Magisterium and canonical norms of Consecrated Life. Although it is not an academic degree, the above-mentioned agreement qualifies the educational proposal and commitment of this Dicastery to accompany consecrated life in different cultural situations, so as to experience an ecclesiology of communion.
 

The course is spread over two years and is cyclical in nature. Classes will be held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at PUU on a weekly basis from November to May. Students who are unable to attend the course in person will be able to follow the course (in Italian, English and Spanish) via the Internet with audio-video, from their personal computers, either live and interactively, or recorded.
