New Executive Director of Solidarity with South Sudan
We are pleased to announce that Fr. Hyacinthe Loua, SJ, has been appointed as the new Executive Director of Solidarity with South Sudan, starting in April 2025. Fr. Loua, a Jesuit priest from Guinea, brings with him extensive experience and expertise, having held leadership roles such as Provincial Superior of the Jesuits in West Africa and Director of the “Centre de Recherche et d'Action pour la Paix” (CERAP) in Ivory Coast.
With a doctorate in systematic theology and history, a master's degree in development sociology, and certification in mediation and conflict prevention, Fr. Loua also has a strong background in humanitarian work and civil society organizations. His dedication to peace, reconciliation, and supporting marginalized populations makes him particularly well-suited to lead Solidarity with South Sudan into its next chapter.
We warmly welcome Fr. Loua to this important role and wish him a path full of success, confident that his leadership will be a blessing for the community and the people he will serve.
